Krista Gilbert

Krista Gilbert lives in a small lakeside town in the Pacific Northwest with her family. She likes to cook for a crowd. In fact, the bigger the crowd, the bigger the party. Her book, Reclaiming Home: A Family’s Guide For Life, Love, and Legacy, shares many of the practical ways she makes her family functional, meaningful, intentional, and fun. At the center of all this is Krista’s deep faith and her love for the people God has placed at her table.  You will find her online at or podcasting at The Open Door Sisterhood.

Kara Hicks

Katie Blackburn

Katie is a wife, writer, teacher, and a mama of three who is still very much learning how to be a mama at all. She is saved by grace, cold brew coffee, and quiet mornings at her desk with her Bible and her words. Katie is a regular writer at the Coffee + Crumbs blog and a contributor to The Magic of Motherhood (Zondervan, 2017). Her writing has also been featured at Motherly, Grit & Virtue, and Pursuit Community. You can find her sharing stories about faith, motherhood, special needs parenting and her love of the gospel, good books, and sharpie pens at her blog, Just Enough Brave. Workshop: Speaking Gospel Language to our Family.

Traci Wright

Traci considers herself an outgoing introvert, which to her means she probably talks too much and then needs plenty of alone time to reenergize. She loves to cook, hike, travel, anything in the sun; in the winter, she’s mostly by a cozy fire with her family or a book, or maybe cooking something yummy. She loves a bit of adventure, a lot of peaceful activities and reflection, and meaningful conversation with family and friends.

She is married to the wonderful, and a little bit crazy, Pastor Rodney. They both come from pastor’s families and have been married 28 years. They have three young adult children, who seem to be in and out of living with them, so they have only had a few months of empty nesting so far. They came to CDA to help start Lake City Church 16 years ago and they love living here.

Since its’ opening five years ago, she has worked at the Union Gospel Mission Center for Women and Children as a recovery counselor and Program Coordinator for women seeking long term support to leave a life of addiction and homelessness. What an incredible experience it has been. It seems that every new stage God leads her through shows her something new about herself, others, and her growing connection to Christ. She is so grateful.
