Your Bible will come alive, from black letters on white pages to full-color images indelibly etched in your mind. Walk where Jesus walked! Explore ancient ruins. Swim in the Dead Sea. Wade into the waters of baptism in the Jordan River. Worship on the Sea of Galilee and at The Garden Tomb (spoiler alert: it’s still empty).

Bask in the sights, sounds and aromas of present day Israel; modern sophistication blended with ancient tradition, skyscrapers against ancient walls, fashionable shopping malls within steps of the shuk (middle-eastern open-air market), bustling freeways and cobblestone streets with donkey carts.

Lake City Church is partnering with Holy Ground Explorations to bring you this amazing opportunity to tour Israel. Our goal is to connect you with both the Israel of the Bible and the Israel of today.

Days 7 through 10

Days 7 through 10 – April 28th thru May 1st

Jerusalem: The City of our Great King -The Golden City!

Our focus over the next three days will be the gift of God, the passion of Jesus culminating with His Resurrection as we visit His empty tomb. Our three-day schedule in Jerusalem will be flexible as to the sites we will visit each day. During our time here, we will visit David’s City. Walk through history as you navigate the tunnel used by Joab to capture the Jebusite city, later known as Jerusalem. Stand and pray at the Western Wall, the holiest site in Judaism today. Visit the Southern Steps, (the rabbinical steps), a place where Jesus would have walked and taught in Jerusalem. Spend time in the Jewish Quarter visiting the Cardo as well as many archaeological remains. Sit on the Pavement at the Antonia Fortress, remembering the passion of Jesus. We also visit Yad Vashem (the memorial to the six million Jews who died in the Holocaust), ending our time in Jerusalem at the Garden Tomb. We plan to make Monday the 30th a free day to explore, rest, dine – whatever you want. It’s your day! We’ll celebrate our journey with a farewell dinner before heading off to the airport for our late-night flights.
