Joyce Dexter

Joyce oversees the Food Bank Ministry for Lake City which includes, life coaching, meals and food distribution. Her team of 70 volunteers helped distribute 171,000 pounds of food last year. Joyce and her husband Barry, both Montana natives, were married in 1988 and have two adult children. After moving from Montana in 2005 and visiting various churches in the area, they attended a baby dedication at Lake City and knew this would be their church home. Joyce started volunteering in various ministries, including the Food Bank, before being brought on staff as Food Bank Director in 2011. Joyce loves spending time with family and friends on the many lakes and rivers; kayaking, tubing and boating. She also enjoys exploring on their ATV with her husband and kids.

“Most people that find themselves needing help from a Food Bank feel shame for needing help. What I love most about this amazing ministry is that we get to come alongside people who are going through a difficult time and give them dignity, respect and hope.”

“But Lord, you are my shield, my glory, and my only hope. You alone can lift my head, now bowed in shame”.~Psalm 3:3
