Sue Reeve serves in the part-time capacity of Care Ministries Director. Sue and her husband, Ron, moved to Coeur d’Alene the weekend Lake City’s mother church, New Life Community Church, held its first service. They’ve been regular attendees at Lake City since 2009. Prior to retiring in 2010, Sue worked as a Certified Employee Assistance Professional in the WA State Employee Assistance Program. In that position, she was involved in management consultation, crisis intervention and short term problem resolution counseling.
In 2012, Sue began volunteering as a spiritual counselor at Lake City. The volunteer post grew to a part time paid position, and in September 2014, her duties were expanded to include recruiting and equipping volunteer lay counselors.
Ron and Sue have two married daughters, three granddaughters and one grandson. Sue’s favorite life roles—other than devoted Christ-follower—are wife, mother and grandma. She has been involved in different aspects of women’s ministries for many years.
Sue’s deepest joy is watching people step with gracious confidence into the various and vital roles God has created them to fill, especially when she knows a person has journeyed into his or her confidence from a place of pain, confusion or defeat. She feels humbled and profoundly privileged when she sees God has chosen to use her as a catalyst to help anyone catch a glimpse of God’s greatness—great grace, great forgiveness, great mercy, great patience, great resources, great plans and above all else, great love.
